UU Church of Concord NH Auction: Food, Fun and Fellowship

Spend 2-4 hours in your garden discussing it with someone who is very well-trained in ecofriendly gardening and landscaping practices.  Ruth Axelrod will come to your home and talk with you about the latest horticultural science and practice, including topics such as enriching and managing your soil, diversifying with native plants, creating habitat for birds, butterflies and our threatened native bees, practicing Integrated Pest Management , and managing storm water runoff.  (Note: Ruth’s expertise includes the basics but not the specifics of vegetable gardening. )  Invite your friends to join us for this fun and educational session!  Handouts will be provided.

Ruth is an enthusiastic, lifelong gardener, indoors and outdoors, who has been trained by two university Cooperative Extensions and participated in innumerable educational seminars and on-site workshops, as well as doing research on her own about all aspects of ecofriendly landscaping and gardening.  She is a popular volunteer public speaker on these topics.
