She will contact the winner(s) to learn what he or she wants to accomplish with the dog, or dogs, and set up the first appointment when mutually convenient. A second session will be scheduled a week or more later to take the training further or perfect the skills the canine and handler have been working on.
Marie says this about herself: I am a certified canine behavior and training specialist working to keep dogs in homes where they are wanted. I have been working with dogs for over 20 years in people's homes, at pet rescues/resorts/boarding facilities, and in shelters around the world. I have been sent into homes with dogs with bite histories by veterinarians and shelter officials to try remedy the situations. I previously owned a successful business in the south mainly working with in-home behavior modification cases but have also had experience working with search and rescue, scent detection, agility, competitive obedience, and regular in home pet dogs. I am happy to work with the first time dog owner or the more experienced in need of a few refreshers, completely without judgement.
